On Wednesday, October 20, 2021, inhabitants of Kasoa in the Awutu Senya East District of the Central Region awoke to grim news when a 35-year-old married lady, Rebecca Amoah, committed suicide herself by hanging.
According to reports, the woman, a mother of two children, killed herself as a result of her husband’s alleged extramarital activities.
A co-tenant relaying the story, Forgive Adeku, claimed the deceased shut herself in the room before executing the act.
She claimed a carpenter had to break down her door, where her lifeless body was discovered hanging from the ceiling fan.
According to her, the deceased spouse was then contacted, and a report was filed with the Kasoa Police Department, who arrived to transport the body to the mortuary.
The Kasoa Police Department has initiated an investigation into the woman’s death.
