The teenager was the hero of the day, scoring two late goals to give Jose Mourinho’s team three points.
On Sunday, Ghanaian attacker Felix Afena-Gyan scored his first professional goals as Roma defeated Genoa 2-0 at home in the Italian Serie A.
The 18-year-old, who rejected a chance to play for Ghana during the recent international break, turned on the heat with a quickfire double to grab three points for Jose Mourinho’s outfit in the matchday 13 fixture at Luigi Ferrais.
As the Yellow and Reds looked for a way past Genoa, the Ghanaian came in in the 75th minute and scored in the 82nd minute, driving a low first-time effort from inside the box into the bottom left corner after being set up by Henrikh Mkhitaryan.
In stoppage time, the teenager came up with another fantastic goal, this time pounced on a loose ball outside the area and curled a long curving shot into the net, beating goalkeeper Salvatore Sirigu off his line.
