Takoradi: Suspected Kidnapper Of Pregnant Woman Demands Ransom

A suspected kidnapper has requested a ransom for the release of a 28-year-old pregnant lady who went missing on September 16 in Takoradi.

On Thursday, September 16, 2021, Josephine Panyin Mensah went missing after going on a normal morning walk.

Her husband, Paul Simon, reported the event to the police, later claiming that the mother had received a phone call demanding a ransom from a suspected kidnapper.

The police in Takoradi have begun an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the pregnant woman’s disappearance. Olivia Adiku, the Western Regional Authorities Public Relations Officer, said the police were looking into Josephine’s location.

According to her husband, Josephine left home around 5 a.m. on Thursday for a normal dawn walk and has not returned since.

She was last seen in Takoradi, Western Region, on Amoono Road heading towards Paa Grant Roundabout.
