Sellas Tetteh receives GHS50k from Sports Ministry

Former Black Satellites head coach, Sellas Tetteh has received financial support from the Ministry of Youth and Sports.

This amount is to help him pay for his medical expenses.

The 66-year-old led Ghana to win their first U-20 World Cup trophy 14 years ago in Egypt.

Sellas Tetteh, who has recently been battling with illness revealed that the government’s promise to reward him for winning the prestigious trophy was yet to be fulfilled even after many years of reminders.

The Sports ministry finally responded by paying a visit to coach Tetteh at his residence in Accra.

They donated to him an amount of GHc 50,000.

The former coach of Sierra Leone had earlier received a cash donation from footballer Andre Ayew.
