Popular Ghanaian artiste Shatta Wale who was sentenced to a week in prison after the Ghanaian court judged him guilty.
This comes shortly after the musician was arrested by the police following a publicity stunt he pulled in relation to a death prophecy made by the leader of the New Life Kingdom Chapel International, Stephen Akwasi Appiah,
Shatta Wale was allegedly thought to have faked a shooting incident along with two of his crew members, his PR, Nana Dope, and his designer, Gangee. Per a post made by his PR, the musician was admitted to an emergency ward at an undisclosed private hospital but it all turned to be a very big hoax.

According to the group, Shatta Wale’s publicity stunt was a mini protest against the failure of the police to guarantee his right to peace, safety, and security as a citizen of the country. The group says Shatta Wale is a hero who needs to be celebrated and not punished.
