Peace Fm - Akufo-Addo Interview. Ghanaians Point Blaming Fingers

President Akufo-Addo has been in the news for the wrong reasons lately due to an interview he conducted on a Cape Coast based radio station and peace fm. Despite clarifying the Cape Coast incidence in the peace fm interview, he created another talking point concerning a response to a question by host Sefa kayi.

After the interview many felt the Presidents remark was disrespectful o the Chief of Aflao and blamed Sefa Kayi for how he framed the question and reacted to the President’s response.

#Kwame Sefa Kayi did a bad job. The #Aflao Chief only appealed and didn't order. Aside from that, he appealed to the Minority Caucus who had visited him.

However, #Akufo-Addo wouldn't have responded the way he did if it was a chief from Ashanti Region who made this appeal.

Kwame sefa Kayi played his part, the President was the one who faulted in his language. Prez. Nana Addo has to stop making sarcastic remarks anyhow, anytime, anywhere because it is not our Culture for a elderly man like him to make fun of people publicly like that.

Also, the Aflao chief's statement was not an "ultimatum". Sefa Kayi's question to president made it seem as such.

If Sammy Gyamfi while being interviewed by Kwame Sefa Kayi had said something about Nana Addo or any of his appointees, Kwame would’ve asked him to apologize and retract but felt comfortable with what Nana Addo had said to the Aflao Chief.

I wish Akufo-Addo made the comment about the Aflao chief infront of either Beneard Avle or Samson Lardi Ayini, like the follow up questions go over him. Kwame Sefa Kayi performed poorly in that interview.

It's not solely Sefa-Kayi's fault. The president's response still revealed something about what the man thought of the chief.

I have tweeted several times that I don't know why we embrace chieftaincy in a democratic republic but even I am not dismissing chiefs like that.
