Ghanaian rapper Okyeame Kwame has shared his two cents on how to make a marriage work.
He has revealed three powerful ways to maintain a successful intimate relationship.
The first piece of advice he gave was to make sure that one chooses a consistent, present and committed partner. Okyeame Kwame said that if the person is unsure if they want t be in your life, let them go. Even if it’s a day to the wedding ceremony.
The second lesson, according to him, is to ask all the uncomfortable questions likely to pop up after marriage. He detailed that couples should ask questions about finances, beliefs, etc. “Ask all the problematic questions that come into marriage before you go into it.”
His third piece of advice was that ego should be taken out of the relationship.
“If you ask what is the ego, it is the net total of everything you have been told and what you think you are that tries to protect you against other people encroaching in your space,” Okyeame Kwame explained.
He pointed out that if you cultivate a forgiving atmosphere in relationships, the offender will stop doing hurtful things.
