Ghanaian actor-turned-politician, John Dumelo, has expressed strong optimism in the upcoming NDC primaries.
According to him, he narrowly missed success in the 2020 election, therefore this time he’ll win the seat.
In the 2020 elections, Dumelo suffered a brutal defeat to the incumbent MP for the area, Lydia Seyram Alhassan.
According to the Electoral Commission (EC), Madam Alhassan, who contested the parliamentary seat on the ticket of the governing NPP won with 39,851 votes whereas John Dumelo polled 37,778 votes.
Dumelo has picked forms to contest in the primaries for the Ayawaso West Wuogon seat.
