Food prices won’t go down in December – Dr. Nyaaba

Dr Charles Nyaaba, Director of Programs for the Peasant Farmers Association of Ghana, has expressed doubt over a decrease in food prices in December.

According to him, this is a result of the difficulties farmers face, including the high cost of conducting business.

Dr Nyaaba told TV3’s Roland Walker that “depending on the commodities, food prices will not come down, it will be incredibly tough for prices to decrease.”

This comment comes at a time when Minister of Food and Agriculture, Dr. Owusu Akoto Afriyie, has promised that the Ministry will launch a program to offer food at lower costs.
