In an interview with the BBC, the president of Ghana Akufo-Addo disclosed that the disputed e-levy is to tax an industry.
This statement has left a lot of Ghanaians confused as to which industry is been taxed.

The electronic tax popular known as the e-levy was introduced in the 2022 budget but only got approved by Parliament late March.
