The prosecution in charge of Reverend Isaac Owusu-Bempah has asked the Accra High Court give him more time to alter his charges.
Chief Inspector Dennis Terkpetey, the prosecutor, told the Court of Prosecutions of his intention to alter the charges on Monday, September 20, 2021.
He requested a one-week adjournment from the court to allow the prosecution to modify the charges and facts of the case.
This comes after the accused persons’ lawyers, led by Gary Nimako Marfo, had requested that the case be adjourned until October 25, 2021.
The court, presided over by Her Honour Afia Owusua Appiah, determined that October 25 was too late for the prosecutor to alter the accusations and, as a result, made an agreement with the prosecutor and defendants to reschedule the case for October 5, 2021.
