Abdulai Mahama, a civil engineer from Ghana, has attributed the country’s floods to the incompetence of finance minister Ken Ofori-Atta.
He said on 3fm “of course in any jurisdiction, the Minister of Finance should be charged for manslaughter”.
According to Ken Ofori-Atta, financing is necessary to build buffer zones and interceptors for flood management.
According to the Auditor General’s report, not a single buffer site was done from 2019 through July 2022.
Speaking on this, Mahama said “That’s why I say that in any jurisdiction, the Minister of Finance would be charged for manslaughter because the people are dying.”
