Brazil beats Peru 1-0 to advance in the Copa America. They have qualified for the Copa America final after this win by a goal. The goal scored by Lucas Paqueta was assisted by Neymar in the 35th minute after beating three defenders before passing to Paqueta to score the only goal of the match.
Efforts from Peru to equalize proved futile despite coming out for the second half stronger. Brazil who has a record of winning all the Copa America tournament they have hosted defended well to ensure their place in the final where they will meet the winner of the second semi-final match between Argentina and Colombia later tonight.
Despite creating other chances in the second half, the two goalkeepers stood strong to deny the balls from entering the nets. After the match, Neymar won the man of the match award and disclosed that he hopes Argentina qualifies to the final as he wants to beat them.
